African Sports Monthly Magazine – Print Edition coming out soon!

Press Release

In late February 2012, African Sports Monthly, the only Digital Sports Magazine for Africa, will be offering its first Print Edition for the March 2012 Issue Subtitled ‘Nations Cup Special Edition’.

The Magazine, which was founded two years ago in January of 2010 by Mr. Leslie Koroma based in Texas USA, has been published strictly on the digital platform since its founding. Mr. Leslie Koroma, who is himself a former athlete, is an American Citizen with African Roots from the small West African nation of Sierra Leone. He is a technology expert, an athlete at heart and an avid Sports fan.
He saw a need to put African sports on the map with this publication because he noticed that there was a visible lack of a comprehensive sports publication in the African media landscape, so putting his technological skills together with his passion for sports Mr. Koroma launched the Magazine on January 1st 2010.

African Sports Monthly has a dedicated and very experienced staff across the world, starting with the founder himself Mr. Leslie Koroma in the USA, Mr. Muctaru Wurie, a seasoned sports journalist who recently relocated to the USA from Sierra Leone to join Mr. Leslie Koroma to take up a position as the Marketing Director (North America) alongside his journalist duties for the magazine. Mr. Ayodele Odumade, our resident London Writer and seasoned Sports Journalist, whose recent segment on the Magazine ‘Sports Talk’ made a splash with the fans and readers of the magazine.

Mr. Alie Bittar, another very experienced Sports Journalist also of the UK whose ‘Africa’s Best Dressed Athletes’ has become a fixture with our readers. Experienced and seasoned sports journalist Mr. Kingsley Kobo of the Ivory Coast, who was our first and current Editor in Chief of the Magazine, Mr. Sahr Morris Jr. our very experienced and hardworking sports journalist in Sierra Leone who is our current representative for our Africa operations; Mr. Justin Lagat, an athlete journalist based in Eldoret Kenya, giving us a special perspective and insight into Kenya’s dominance in athletics; our dedicated reporter Ms. Aminata Mariko of Mali; our young and promising reporter Mr. Anephowose George of Lagos Nigeria and Mr. Thomas Meinders a German Sports Journalist with a keen eye for African sports.
